MUSC The Greenest day: An Earth and Arbor Day Celebration

Join the LOWVELO team from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the MUSC Colbert Education Center and Library Portico. 

The Greenest Day features environmentally conscious local crafts, farmers, food trucks, music, and non-profits that contribute to healthier lives and a healthier planet.  Stop by the LOWVELO tent to learn about the ride and grab some swag.

Pint Night at Rusty Bull Brewing supporting LOWVELO

Oh boi! Join us at Rusty Bull Brewing in North Charleston (3005 W. Montague Ave.) from 4-7 p.m. for a Pint Night supporting LOWVELO. A percentage of all sales of the April special, The Fat Boi Burger (smash patties, bacon, pimento cheese, house pickles, and beer mustard on a pretzel bun), will be donated to LOWVELO!

LOWVELO25 Tuesday Night Training Ride

This ride hosted by Charleston Beer Riders departs from Edmund’s Oast Brewery every Tuesday evening. Gather with bikes in the courtyard by 6 p.m. Please be sure to have helmets, lights, water and any basic tools and tubes you’ll need for repairs. Refreshments are available for purchase at Edmund’s Oast Brewing after the ride.
 
There are three route options:
  • Our beginner ride is great for newbies because you ride around Hampton Park at your own pace. Each loop is one mile and riders can complete as many as possible in an hour.
  • The intermediate ride (15-17 mph) goes to Sullivan’s Island and back, a 24-mile roundtrip ride.
  • Advanced riders (19-21 mph) will depart to Sullivan’s Island and loop the perimeter and back for a 27-mile ride.

Hincapie Gran Fondo Chattanooga

Join George Hincapie on a ride through the Tennessee mountains!

Ride from downtown city streets to winding mountain roads. Gran Fondo Hincapie-Chattanooga begins in the center of the River City before taking you on a scenic ride along the Tennessee River and ascending Sequatchie Mountain. Celebrate your finish (and your survival of Sequatchie Mountain) at our family festival, with beverages and free food for you and your friends.

Charleston Moves Ride of Silence

In honor of the International Ride of Silence, we are hosting a local rolling memorial for the community members who have been killed and injured on our roads while biking, due to traffic violence. This critical mass ride will cover main corridors of the peninsula, highlighting areas with both scheduled and needed safety improvements. Donations of $50 or more also unlock a 9th Annual Pedal & Panache ticket discount!

LOWVELO has officially adopted the IOP connecter! Show up and clean up one of our favorite ride routes! Bags, gloves, safety vest provided. Meet in the Harris Teeter parking lot on Isle of Palms as far from the store as possible. We will meet there and move into position to clean the westbound lane/shoulder.
