External Rider and Volunteer Recruiter

Katelyn LeBlanc was born and raised in Charleston and joined LOWVELO in 2021. She graduated from Bishop England High School and then the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. During her time in college, she was a member of Kappa Delta national fraternity and developed a strong background working in non-profits through several internships at the Cooper River Bridge Run. She also volunteered for other local non-profit events including the Knights of Columbus Turkey Day Run and Gobble Wobble, Lowcountry Buddy Walk and Komen Race for the Cure.

Katelyn moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, after graduation and worked as a Technical Recruiter for the 15th Largest IT Staffing Firm in the US, Signature Consultants, recruiting nationally for Fortune 500 and high-tech companies such as Google, Apple and Bank of America. Since then, she has returned to her roots as a Charleston native and lives locally. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, relaxing on the beach or boat, trying new restaurants and activities around the city and capturing the beautiful views Charleston has to offer through sunrise and sunset photography.

Recruitment and Fundraising Coordinator

Jaclyn Summers is a graduate of the College of Central Florida. While there she studied Business and Organizational Management with a specialization in Public Service. She began working for the American Cancer Society as a Relay For Life Specialist soon after graduation. In 2015, she relocated to the Lowcountry and continued her work with the ACS as a Senior Community Development Manager. She has a strong background in nonprofit community events, mission-oriented work, mobilization of event volunteers and fundraising/corporate sponsorship. In 2020, she decided to take 18 months off and took on the very challenging role of Stay at Home Mom.

Jaclyn is originally from Long Island, New York. She lives in Summerville with her husband, Jonathan, and her two sons, Zachary and Caleb. She enjoys exploring the Lowcountry, entertaining friends and family, coffee and good conversation.
