What an amazing LOWVELO21 event we had November 6 despite the challenging weather! More than 250 people braved the rain and winds to come out to the Isle of Palms to do loops of the Island ride. We had a record of more than 820 people sign up, many on our virtual Home Team. Remember, fundraising continues through December 31, so keep up that enthusiasm!

Thank you to the many who made the magic happen

We want to thank our sponsors who made this event possible, as well as our volunteers who got rave reviews. And, thanks to everyone who participated! With 100% of all rider-raised money supporting lifesaving cancer research at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, you are helping us find tomorrow’s cure for cancer, today.

Stay tuned for details on LOWVELO22!

See LOWVELO as a lifestyle

LOWVELO isn’t just a once-a-year event – it is a lifestyle. It’s all about cancer prevention and awareness as well as celebrating how we’re fighting back against cancer. We encourage all participants to keep up the healthy habits they developed in LOWVELO21 and stay tuned as we prepare for an even bigger event in 2022!

“I’m looking forward to, in my own small way, being part of the bigger solution in the fight against cancer. I want to help raise money for research so more people can survive cancer. What we do today can make an impact tomorrow, and I believe we all have the responsibility to be part of that impact,” said Ja’Net Bishop, stationary cycling class rider.

Since LOWVELO first took hold in 2019, we’ve been amazed at how our community has come together to raise money for cancer research and make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. Events like this really do make a difference in the fight against a disease that touches so many.
