LOWVELO will take place on Saturday, November 6. Riders have four routes to choose from as well as our new stationary cycling classes. We also have the virtual Home Team option for those who want to log their miles on their own by riding, walking, running, or choosing another favorite exercise activity to reach their selected distance.
Join us for a fun-filled day on Isle of Palms to celebrate cancer survivors and memories of lost loved ones as we rally together to raise money for innovative and lifesaving cancer research at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center!
Packet Pickup – Friday, November 5 3 p.m. to 6 P.M.
New this year we will have our packet pickup at the Firefly distillery. We invite you to come out enjoy the afternoon at their beautiful new facility in North Charleston. There will be vendors, foodtruck options and Firefly will be serving their famous cocktails for purchase. Firefly has generously offered to donate $2 of every beverage purchase to the cause and free tours of the distillery.
Start Line – November 6 at 7AM
The 22-, 57-, and 100-mile route options will be kicking off from Hagood Stadium at The Citadel, 68 Hagood Avenue, Charleston, S.C. The 10-mile family Island Ride will start on Isle of Palms, South Carolina, at 8:30 a.m. The stationary cycling classes will each be 45 minutes long, with the first session starting at 9 a.m.
Finish Line Block Party
Our Finish Line Block Party on Isle of Palms will have live music, fun photo opps., good food, (refreshing drinks OR specialty cocktails), local vendors and much more fun for everyone to enjoy. With the City of Isle of Palms, Firefly Distillery, The Co-Op Frosé & Eatery, and Charleston Radio Group as some of our new sponsors – you can expect to cross the finish line on Ocean Blvd into a family-friendly block party!
Registration for the event includes a LOWVELO21 T-shirt, swag bag, a cycling jersey, admission to the November 6 event and awards ceremony in February 2022.
